Wow! Pretty cool to see an aircraft carrier at Changi Naval Base!

Hi guys, I'm new here. Do you organise a group outing to visit these carriers? Can I join? I know I can contact the US Embassy directly, but think it will be more fun to go with a group who share the same interest.
I went on board the Enterprise way back in the 80's. Would love to visit a carrier again.
BTW, just a small nitpick: the Kitty Hawk should be CV, not CVN.

Well, i know that when the Tomcats are active, they 'll able to catapult off with 2 Aim-9, 2 Aim-120 & 2 Aim-54 Pheonix and her nett weight is ard 19Ton.where else F-18 is much lighter at ard 10-11 Ton.[/img]

Enterprise hardly comes this way. Even Kitty Hawk doesn't sail far from Japan.

Taking off from the carrier should not be a problem. Good photos! A carrier certainly looks more imposing approaching from a ferry than from a pier.

They still have Vikings on the Enterprise. I thought they have been phased out.

S3 is still flying.. but seems that they will be retiring all of them by this year end ! So sad ! in future ! all U see in an aircraft carrier is Hornet, Super hornets , Hawkeye ! thats it!

Big E arrived a few days after Kitty Hawk departed, they came here early to avoid the typhoons in Hong Kong.
The USN has disestablished the last Viking squadron in the Pacific, East Coast Vikings will retire in 2009.
