CNB can accomodate any USN carrier currently in service.Originally posted by Moonstriker:CNB able to accomodate the Nimitz if i'm not mistaken..
i guess it will be easier this way for the people working on the carrier while it is berthed in CNB.Originally posted by Manager433:Why are there so many portable toilets around? Dun they have better ones around? Or is it too far away?
eh yea... he sounded very hostile... bugger...Originally posted by alert5:There was someone who got a warning from the embassy staff during the bus trip back home for taking photos of RSN's ships. The person persisted despite a warning. I hope its not from our group. David is kind enough to organised the trips and coordinate the transportation for all of us. Don't create any trouble for him. It could also jeopardized our future trips there.
okie...thanks.Originally posted by Viper52:Those Hornets at PLA are not from Kitty Hawk. They're from VFA-97 Warhawks, a USN unit attached to Marine Air Group 12 in Japan, here for a Commando Sling.
No further action was taken although that embassy guy glared at the guy in question till the bus almost reached the gate.Originally posted by tripwire:did they confiscate his camera or force him to remove the film or delete his memory stick?

On a separate note, noticed the USS Russell is now escorting the Kitty Hawk. Last saw it escorting the Abraham Lincoln during their April visit.
This carrier also doesn't seem to carry the 75+ aircraft that they are supposed to carry. Seems rather few. Should it be suddenly dispatched for combat, I wonder if it will be understrengthed?
No open houses... not in recent times....Originally posted by davechng:HEh guys! just curious!
Back in the days, We use to go to CLifford PIer when US carriers come to port in SIngapore... and goget a sailor and they will bring up up to visit the carriers! So! now that all carriers go to CHangi naval base.. how to go visit these carriers??
Do they have open houses??

Wow, you are also garang! I used to do what you mentioned above (Kitty Hawk 1993), but now no longer possible. I remember back then there was no ID checks when boarding the carrier and we climbed up at the stern from the ferry.Originally posted by davechng:HEh guys! just curious!

It is entirely possible the SG government provides supplies FOC because she wants USN ships to come regularly, show she is in bed with Big Brother (to put it crudely ) and deter aggression.
