  The proper designation is the LAU-88/A. Single rail is the LAU-117.
  
  Carrying all that weight and drag (and hence increased fuel burn) of the LAU-88/A is a bigger tactical disadvantage. The USAF has all but tossed the LAU-88/A when carrying Mavericks, preferrring the LAU-117 single-launcher when it uses Mavericks in all recent wars. I've never seen RSAF aircraft carrying the LAU-88, even for publicity shots, FWIW.
