M-16A2 in SAF service?

One thing, I did try fire full auto with one whole full mag of live rds during a live firing exe( in this case , not FIBUA).
The muzzle keep on going up after a few rds, that is why they came out with 3 rds burst, becos after the 3rd rds , you will shooting above the target (i.e, wasting bullets).
Maybe this is also why we were taught to fire full auto with a "U" shaped swing of the rifle in FIBUA, to compensate for the propensity of the weapon going upward swing during full auto. -

The M16A3 is full-auto and the M16A4 is back to 3-round burst. So I don't know what is the US preference now.
But what I do know is that the SAR-21 is full-auto, so that should give an idea of what SAF doctrine is when it comes to CQB SHTF situations. -
I remember one live firing in FIBUA - a few rounds only, fired into a room with sandbags and a figure 15 inside, full auto. It was a long time ago.

Like this:
3 men creep along wall up to window. First man peeps through window to check for enemy. Signals affirmative. Second man moves to cover the door and window as first man prepares grenade. Last man covers backway. First man prepares and toss grenade through window. Second man covering door runs back towards wall for cover.
Exploded. First man fires full auto burst into room in an arc. Both first and second man charges into room - "I left you right!" firing (full auto) if necessary to clear the room. -

cos i kinda remembered it was 2 men zuah, den the pattern is like an X cos they will cross path.

I believe that SAF has a few of the non-service issue weapons that are not frequently used.I mean any military would also have the same. Its like a few samples or for teaching our troops what the enemy are using.
