RAF waddington international airshow

  i went to the airshow on last sunday.

  Is RAF using Russian sam?
  that looks like a SA-8 or SA-13 I think, and the last launcher looks banged pretty bad

  NATO designation SA-8 Gecko, or 9M33 ZRK-Romb to the Soviets/Russians. Great pics!

  Any more good photos of foreign military aircraft?? what was the highlist of the show this year??

  no.. they dun
  this system, according to one of the officers there,
  given by the germany government when the west germany reunion with the east germany.
  
  it can no longer launch missles. but used by RAF to train their pilots aganist this SAM system since it is still widely used in many countries.

  the F-15E is not really good as expected cos it was taken by k750.
  more photos? sure, i brought a mobile phone and a digital camera, 200+ photos in total
  
  haha... this year there dun have any from israel. the F-15E belonged to USAF based in UK.
  
  how did u go there? i drove there
  jammed in the base for an hour before i can get away from it
  
  there is another much excited airshow i expect.

  they have chinook on flying display this year but not in static display.
  In addition, globemaster is not on display becasue on busy routine deployed to afghanistan and iraq.

  I was on a buiness trip to Denmark and made a short stop in the UK for the show, But it was defeintly well worth it ! Had to take train from Kings Cross, xfer somewhere to get there.... anyway! we took the bus and yes the traffic jam! I ended up walking into the base! WHat a walk!!!
  
  suprise not to see any tigermeet aircraft.... the year we had like 4 german tornado with the tiger markings, plus the French and Dutch contingent in the tiger marks!
