Singapore Technologies Electronics has developed the Long-Range Reconnaissance and Observation System (LORROS): an advanced day and night, long-range detection, tracking and observation system. It
can be remotely controlled and can operate continuously for 24 hours. The system can detect targets (static or mobile) at a range of up to 15 km. The LORROS can be combined to work with radar systems to provide
seamless command and control of borders and coastlines.
LORROS has gained extensive operational
acceptance in the protection of border and coastal assets by numerous defence forces worldwide.
