Lots of Carriers, Aleign Burke, Ticonderoga , OHP Frigates and also Attack Subs.

actually I am suprise that the harbour tour is done by civillian outfit and you can take whatever picture you want ! there is even narration on the boat on the type of FFG,DDG CVN etc as we go along the harbour!

Are they still offering tours for sensitive places such as the White House too? If i am a terrorist i will want to sign up for such tours! Save me the trouble for doing recce, even have a guide to answer my questions!

the harbour tour really has not much secureity issue since you cannot get close to the NAvy ships. You just get to look at it at a distance.....
the only thing the terrorist can see is how magnificent these NAvy ships are. as you can see those red bouey on the water, anything beyond that is off limits! and for a civi boat to get close to the bouey will get a visit from the NAvy patrol boats jus nearby!
this is more of a military type hardware tour! nothing too sensative about it.

Same goes for our Naval bases also wad... if u stray into the Navy's restricted waters, they'd scramble their four engined assault craft after u. They'll board u with weapons pointed n everything.
Happened to us once... despite being in SAF No.4, they still "assaulted" us anyways. Had to stop for them... no choice, their weapons were loaded, ours din even have blanks. =/ -

nope. no one's head got chopped. Only some warrant of ours kao peh at them and throw rank. Apparently, we had the permit to pass thru those waters liao, but as usual lar, SAF. Information not always passed down properly. No, paiseh, we are under Army. Lol! SCE wad.

I think we cannot really fault them for 'assaulting' fellow SAF soldiers as they are doing their job I think its always better to be safe than sorry. Now this job is being carried out by the navy sea soldiers. I still think they can come out with a better name than sea soldiers though.

But their job is nowhere near that of marines. They are more like naval base guards, the naval version of the field defence squadron of the RSAF. At least FDS sounds better.

Today, they train on assault boats and GPMG for close in sea defence, who knows, tmr they will be training to do beach assault support using jet powered crafts.
