Does ani body noe wad this guys are doing. Wad type of training. Does Singapore tankees and AI go thru tis type of training with the AMX-13?

Or some kind of "anti-armour drill". in the event you are right in front of a tank. safest bet is to lie flat and let it roll over you. -

Oh my gawd... I was totally shocked to see this. This is a very, very, very big no no in the SAF. High potential of deaths through this, not to mention loss of limbs.

The person that post the picture of ang moh troopers, is actually a German on Sinodefence.com, he claims that those are Finnish soldiers. But this amazes me, as Finnish soldiers are mainly like us NSF conscripts, I wonder why their MINDEF allows such high risk training

MINDEF is paranoid abt public complaining thats why alot of these psychological confidence training is gone. -
I can confirm that SAF tankees are not trained this way. This is indeed dangerous but it have its benefits. This enables the soldiers to know how to react when coming face to face with a tank. If one doesn't fear the enemy, he can certainly fight better. Actually one cannot outrun a tank when he is that close and when you reach a certain distance away from the tank you end up being about to be shot at by the turret mounted MG.

Come to think of it, have seen before the video of N.Korean military training where they get a dog packed with explosives to run under a tank.

Yoz , not only it is a good psychological confidence training , but it is also a good training to learn how to filter the sand from the air you breath after the tank roll over lol . must learn to filter cos otherwise their lungs will be full of sand . Very bad

Besides the N Korean & Soviet Army of using dogs as some form of 'anti-tank' weapons, I read that the 1st Gulf War of 1979-1988, the Iranians (due to their religious fanatiicism or some may say desperation) convinced 'volunteer' youths to strap explosives to their body and charged under an Iraqi tank. The Israeli Army is another where they trained (explosive-laden) dogs to charged towards a bunker where the explosion ensures the enemy bunkers are destroyed (how effective? I dunno) thus minimising or reducing the need to use IA teams to breech the bunker. In fact, their use of dogs here (think in Lebanon) invited comdenmation & protest from int'l animal groups of such use (of dogs). But did the IA continued to use the dogs here b'cos of this 'int'l exposure'? I dunno.... -
