Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) is displaying for the first time its LORA (Long-Range Artillery) surface-to-surface guided missile (SSM) at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris from 12-16 June.
IAI will also present a series of previously unveiled C4ISR systems and is seeking to establish itself at the exhibition as a land systems integrator, combining data-gathering systems and weaponry.
The LORA, a single-stage solid-propellant SSM with a range of 250 km, carrying warheads of 400 kg and 600 kg, is described as a GPS-based guided missile with an accuracy of 5 m circular error of probability.
After a successful test in the Mediterranean in March 2004, IAI offered the LORA to India and Turkey, as well as to the Israel Defence Force, but there has been no decision on procurement.
