if u look closely, the LAM switch is on the right on the original pic. SAR 21's switch is also on the right. so the orientation is correct. the guy IS shooting on the left.Originally posted by lwflee:

just curious, what type of barrel is the SAR21 using?? like the M4 in the US military is 1:7 twist so is optimize for the M855 or SS109 62 grain 5.56 ammo! is SIngapore still using ythe old 1:12 twist for the 55 grain ammo??

Durable ah... Depends wad kinda conditions u subject it to. Like someone mentioned on this forum, some SAR-21 scope tend to fog up, and not clear up.
Reliability... this one was told to me from my friend. His Sar-21 jammed up so badly once that he had to slam the butt down on the floor while holding the cocking lever just to clear it. Brute force approach.
His Sar-21 was still able to shoot after that, so i'd say its as durable as the M-16? -
