I noticed that one of the Apache escorts does not have the Longbow radar dish. Didn't we ordered them all in the Longbow configuration? I'm kinda confused here.
A comparison of the two:
The LB radar is pretty obvious on the bottom pic.
This is probably the configuration for the flag flyby. -
saw 4 F-16 Fly by at tampines also.....sadly no NPNT

The LB radar is removable.
Well, you definitely don't need the LB radar (to aid the helicopter) to perform a flypast in a NDP!
The LB is there for a REASON (ask Boeing) and if it is not required for some specific job, remove them, you (Apache pilots) don't need the extra weight if the basic configuration is just for some national flypast.
P/s Even the UK's & Dutch Apache Ds that are deployed to Afghanistan for pk duties have their LB removed as they are not expected to hunt taliban tanks & appear out-of-sight if engaging the insurgents! -

Where did you see the chopper flypast? near SAB? or near the southern point of SIN?
Anyway, off thread a little, saw 'DOWNFALL' on VCD over the weekends, so sad.... those German Army officers just turn their pistol on themselves after learning they had lost the War (to the Reds esp), really admire their courage of pulling that trigger. -

Nowonder i saw F-16s trailing smoke yesterday afternoon. Attend B? Light duties for the Apache without LB?

The a/c taking part in the flying contingent will be smaller than last year and 2004 rite?

erm... longbow is a removable role.

I talked to CPT Ho, who is from 120 squadron during the rsaf seminar on 8june. Yep all our apache's have been upgraded to longbow. He told me,12 are permanent overseas detachment, if im not mistaken its arizona. How many times did I have to salute every frickin time they pass my workplace?
I was kinda worried since they flew directly over me several times. I mean, who's gonna compensate my family should the ropes break and the weights fall on me? 
He made 4 passes before the escorts arrived and joined in, this time with their LBs fixed on (maybe someone was reading my previous gripes) :

What glorious flying weather today! Rare, and thankfully it came on the RSAF's 3rd (and final) Internal Practice for NDP which occurred in the afternoon. All future practice will be in the evening so no more chances to get good light.Here are some of the pics:

Then, the Vipers arrive. There's one more bird to the left of these aircraft (not in picture), coordinating the formation?
The lead threesome flew by with airbrakes deployed. Standard Block 52s, not sure if C or Ds
Followed by the bomb burst, performed by 4 Block 52+ (can see the lumps and bumps)
3 AH-64Ds then raced by. Here's 062 taking up the right of a V-formation. At this point 2 or 3 Vipers will roar over the Apaches, quite a sight
