Do singapore need fighter planes like Harrier which can take off without runway? Can Harrier take off from Singapore RSN's frigates?

apparently singapore is evaluating the possible future JSF acquistion and btw if singapore need a vectical take off fighter. he would have been procured so its not will it quite obvious singapore doesnt need a fighter like harrier.

ppl got the misconception that harrier can take off vertically...IN FACT is SHORT Take off and Vertical Landing.....only F-35 can do vertical take off att he moment ( pioneer by Russia YAK-141 Freestyle)
