Im back with the paint , i dont really how to use the paint . When i mix with water is is very light colour then i try just painting without adding water , but still , when i paint on the plane got the watery look and is also as good as not colour. How to do colouring ?

next time use a satay stick to stir. Shaking may cause it to be uneven, leaving the bottom surface thick and the top surface watery.

Building the 1/32 F-14 day 2
Ok, so basicly i joined the burner sections and the 2 halves of the rear section of the fuselage together.
There was a molding error during the production of this kit. A whole section of plastic went missing on the tail pipe of the aircraft. Ver dissapointing for a tamiya kit. Not a problem though, I can easily rectify it.
First i cut out a piece of plastic card and made the rough shape that i wanted to fill as shown in the picture.
After that i poured superglue on to the card, and sprinkled talcum powder on the super glue. It causes the super glue to harden very quickly and at the same time, turn it brittle, allowing me to sand it down to shape.
I added one layer after another of superglue/talculm powder mix, until the layers are flused with the kit's surface.
After that i used a grade 320 sand paper to shape the fabricated part.
So this is the outcome.
I sprayed the surface with some paint to see if there are any cracks or gaps to be filled. If there are, i add a drop of super glue on the crack and sand over with a grade 320 sand paper.
All looks good now. -
Building the F-14 1/32 day 2 part 2
I glued the two halves of the wings together. After that i basicly followed the instruction all the way. So this is the internal mechanism of the F-14.
I realised that i can't paint the wings after they are attached to the gears. So tmr i will have to remove them , paint them and attach them back again.
Here is the top view of the F-14 wings.

Anyway, a lot of models seems to have some sort of gap, so i painted over -
Painting is a hard job , especially the part that hold the front wheel , unevent shape
Decal is the worst , took me alot concentration to juz get them on the correct position -

Day 3 1/32 F-14
Ok thats the cockpit. Damn Tamiya, dun gimme molded cockpits. Who makes decal cockpits these days especially for a 1/32 aircraft?
ok So this is the nosewheel carriage. Fitting is pretty good.
Here is the radar of the F-14.
Attached the landing gear bay, the radar and the cockpit to form the forward fuselage. I have some excess black paint in my airbrush, so I preshade my forward fuselage first.
The cockpit section is then glued to the bottom halve of the fuselage.
Close up of the lower fuselage. I added in the landing gear bays.
The top fuselage is screwed on to the assembly.
The gaps are filled with superglue and then sanded.
The elevrons and intake ducts are added and thats all for tonight.
Will fill up the gaps for the inlet ducts tmr. Painting will commence tmr morning. -
Me almost done with my 1/72 model , accidentally cut myself when i was using the modelling knife , finger bleeding profusely , i think i will upload the picture tomorrow

Thanks for the step-by-step pics. Just wondering on the preshade part, do you preshade the lines along some outline on the fuslage or the areas/lines are based on just imagination? -

what colour as in Tamiya model for our local F-16A , what are the 2 tone of grey ?
How does the colour pattern look like on the plane ? The manual didn't have a clear illustration

the four-color scheme has FS 36118 (gunship gray) for the major portion of the upper surfaces; FS 36320 (dark ghost gray) for the radome; FS 36270 (neutral gray) for the vertical stabilizer, near the cockpit, the ventral fins and the top of the intake structure; and FS 36375 (light ghost gray) for the underside. Although this is the RSAF scheme, I have seen at least one picture of a USAF F-16 painted the same way.
For illustration sake, here is a model of an rsaf F-16 (not mine). I labelled the areas for you.

In addition, I spray randomly on the panels to achieve a weathered look. For example, rain marks and erosion.
So spray multiple coats of grey over the lines and you see the two different tones as you can see in the following picture.
