wah master siah!!!Originally posted by Manager433:Jokes aside. Here's my contributions.
last pictures posted liao. My skills not too good. All paint works using hand brushed instead of air brush as I do not have any air compressor.
I dun buy model planes at all coz I dun like painting them. So small and difficult to do 'weathering' on them.Originally posted by CenturionMBT:wah master siah!!!
I can never dream of using hand brush on my models. My hand brushing skills sux.
Only do hand brushing for small components like figurines, instrument panels etc.
lol , i also dunno , any reccomendation wif price ? Aircraft or chopper is the bestOriginally posted by CenturionMBT:which model?
for most who do models, they regard cars as the most difficult as achieving gloss is very difficult, tanks the second worse due to their extensive weathering aircraft the easiest. Of course all those i talk to use air brush.Originally posted by Manager433:I dun buy model planes at all coz I dun like painting them. So small and difficult to do 'weathering' on them.
haha 1/72 is very cheap should be able to get something about 20-30 dollars. Some costing below 15. 1/48 i would say about 40-50 bucks. 1/32 depends. Tamiya and Hasegawa will be in the 200 dollars range. Academy and trumpeter will be in the 150 dollars range. Kangnam will be in the 30 dollars range.Originally posted by Unidentified:lol , i also dunno , any reccomendation wif price ? Aircraft or chopper is the best

haha ok there are spray cans around. Basicly they provide the same effectr as airbrush, it provides you a very even spray. Advantages, if you just want an aircraft with a clean configuration, no dweathering, then use it.Originally posted by Unidentified:wah so cheem ar ....
anyway if i really go get it , it will be my 1st time makeing model so any tip for a newbie ? Eg, any starter kit or stuffz , im juz worryin about the painting part , my painting sux

i remember i once brought a small size chopper model , then i make until very ugly , they say muz buy the snip to cut the part so will not have the twist out thing on the parts , i think some part dont stick and got so fed up i used super glue then holding the finished model up in the air bit and pieces all drop outOriginally posted by CenturionMBT:haha ok there are spray cans around. Anyway, we tend to over complicate things. So thats how you do it, just buy a small kit, maybe 1/72. get 1 or 2 spray cans. Only for the main colour of the model. Otherwise you will put a hole in your pocket.
A spray can cost about 11 bucks so not too bad.
Buy a bottle of cement. About 4.50
And basicly you are all set. Remember, your main aim is to have fun, so even if you make a models which looks crappy to others and you still feel happy, it is a success. If you feel down, don't be sad, you probably get alot of experience out of it.
