Victory class MCV

After the launch of the last frigate i think the next in line for upgrades or replacements should be the MCVs.
Personally i think the Visby class from Sweden is a good replacement. Maybe we can do the same thing which we have done to the original French design and give it a radical make-over which result in the Formidable class.
Or we alrady have the capability to manufacture steath naval vessels of the corvette class? From the ST marine website there are information on products which include stealth patrol vessels (which i think will replace the PV which we have in the future)

Stealth corvette hmm, i think not very gd le we need our corvette 2 put up a presence in our water

Tat true but at night they have a high chance of collision with other ship when operating in our busy water

One shouldn't be relying purely on radar anyway. There's supposed to be HUMANS on watch too. Even if the radar doesn't pick up the frigate, surely the human would. Our navy is very small so every ship is valuable n our navy should use every effort 2 protect our ship , stealth is 1 of them but for our corvette do they really need it? Being stealth alone is not everything

As u said our navy is a small one... Every possible advantage should be added without hesitation to our navy, including stealth technology for all surface units. If our Victory class FSGs are to escort the Formidable FFGs in a task force, an enemy force should be alerted of our ships' presence due to the larger radar signature of the Victory class. Moreover the Victory class was never really a satisfactory combatant despite holding the fort for over 15 years... The Saar 5 or an enlarged Visby class would be an ideal replacement for the Victory class, preferably one for one too as in the case of the frigates. -
I agree but i think e frigate is better operating alone or with other firgates

How abt the US's LCS?It's modular n multipurpose....

Nope, the frigate is best operated together with a couple of USVs and UAVs.
Its time to look into utilising USVs and UAVs into the ASW role.
Now imagine if a stealth frigate, assuming its quietened and drifting at a low speed. Controlling a small entourage of ASW USVs and UAVs.
The USVs would be their offboard passive and active sonar platforms. UAVs can search for Magnetic Anomolies or other stuff.
The frigate itself would be hidden from the submarine's sensors. (Hopefully) and when it locates the submarine, then send the pilot over to drop a torp, preferably a few torps on it.
Frigate would still be hidden. -
LCS style fire support ship.

Come to think of it. The LCS design does look abit like our frigates but smaller in size. These ships can also accomodate Seahawks which we are getting for our frigates.
