I'm kind of used to Dr M's senile comments. But I am curious why MY can't use their F-18 because they don't have the source code?

I want to tell you, we had wanted to buy Russian MiGs (fighter planes). You know Russians, they are very inferior. So you cannot plan anything, you cannot fly them to carry out any bombing attacks against anybody but you have this wonderful aircraft which you can see at Lima (the Langkawi International Maritime and Aviation Exhibition). So, we spent this huge sum of money and they actually negotiated and agreed to these terms.
So that's why I say we are not very good at negotiating. -

Madhathir doesn't think before he talks. He forgets that both SG and MY are not only fellow ASEAN members but also fellow FPDA members. This makes things a lot more complicated. Besides, war will not benefit either side. So only an arsehole like Mahathir will be keen to go to war.

Dr M built Malaysia into a rather modern and prosperous country by SE Asian standards. The RMAF 30 years ago was hopeless. And the airforce generals were selling aircraft parts to line their own pockets up till 20 years ago. Similarly their Army and Navy has also become better armed.
But they are definitely moving ahead, and credit must be given to Dr M. Don't belittle someone whose achievements outweighs his other deeds. -

to be fair, he did contribute to my. but problem is his e white elephants he created, $ he wasted far more outweight his contribution. n some more, its not me looking down on them. its jus dat they have nothing much for me to look up to. . indeed, in 1 o 2 things they r better then us. eg, their U team once came in e first in e chinese international U debate competition. they even manage to win over the team from china. this shows their r good. but how many else can u name. wat else r they better then singapore? -

It has nothing to do with the book. The fact is that M'sia WILL suffer significant casualties if they do invade S'pore. But unlike you, I am not one of those "everything Malaysian sucks" type of people who think that MAF is nothing but a wayang force. Have you seen the MAF? Have you trained with the MAF? Have you fought against the MAF? If not, how come, from the safety of your computer station, you are so goddamn sure Malaysia WILL suffer significant casualties and we won't?
