Possible war scenarios

Those who have read the book 'Defending the Lion city' by Dr Tim Huxley will know that there is a part with possible war scenario with Malaysia. This scenario caused an uproar in Malaysia including governement officials. But this is quite an old book already.
Are there any more possible war scenarios or articles from other researchers concerning Singapore? I heard that there is a 2nd edition of the book, can anyone confirm this? Thanks

War with malaysia could come in the form where they cunningly use urban redevelopment very far up north to somehow divert or disturb rivers which feed the resevoirs which our PUB pumps operate from in johore.
Technically & contractually the pipes and plant equipment are unmolested so will there be war in such instances? Do our contracts with them cover that far that say they cannot divert their rivers that feed resevoirs that our plants operate from?

It's a little known fact,but we DO sell water back to them.At a discounted rate at them. Which is why the price of water in Johore has been going up in recent times. Because they privatise the sector and cut back on the % of water they buy from us.
I guess the only possible war scenario i can see is some sabre rattling frm malaysia and we simply doing what we always do by open mobbing and then some 1 on either side screws up and does something dumb. -
Instead of talking about how we can kick their arse, why not talk about how we can PREVENT a war from happening in the first place?

And while we're at it, let's stop focusing on up north.. threats do come from other areas too..

Actually i will wish to see more articles by other researchers( preferably foreign ones to have a more impartial analysis) on Singapore's defence capability and strategic planning as well. However, more possible scenarios from both Malaysia and beyond will also be much appreciated.

History has proven that what it takes to trigger a war can be very trivial. I believe that the SAF should be ready for any situation, any time.
Simple issue like the previous CIQ issues, the water issues, even the latest issue on the half bridge could have evolved into a reason for tension. However, the bilateral ties between Singapore & Malaysia is stronger than to let these trivial issues spoil everything.
What's more, I believe that the OIF (Ops Iraqi Freedom) case studies shown that it takes a lot to fund a war... I think it was something like US$2 Billions a day or something like that... (Can someone confirm this?)

I don't know Iraqi war funding figures but you must remember the Americans always spare no expense. They will use cruise missiles and B-52 airstrikes to try and kill a few insurgents.

China in conflict with Malaysia/Vietnam. Taiwan intervene... potential china vs taiwan conflict.
SLOCs threatened. USN and JMSDF deployed to safeguard traffic in SCS.
RSN assist in protecting SLOC (blue water frigates) and MCMs keep Straits of malacca cleared of mines.... -
Dun forget ASW to prevent enemy submarines from entering from the South China Sea.

Assuming that the Straits of Malacca is being heavily mined by an unknown adversary and that the Sunda Straits is the next alternate SLOC connecting Singapore to the West. Will RSN sent its vessels into Indonesian territorial waters to protect the commercial shipping there?
