History has proven that what it takes to trigger a war can be very trivial. I believe that the SAF should be ready for any situation, any time.
Simple issue like the previous CIQ issues, the water issues, even the latest issue on the half bridge could have evolved into a reason for tension. However, the bilateral ties between Singapore & Malaysia is stronger than to let these trivial issues spoil everything.
What's more, I believe that the OIF (Ops Iraqi Freedom) case studies shown that it takes a lot to fund a war... I think it was something like US$2 Billions a day or something like that... (Can someone confirm this?)
