Well you can't compare a Spec Ops Brigade with an Infanty unit. Also, considering the state of anarchy Iraq is in, naturally they need more firepower. I mean even the Iraqi cops go around toting AK-47. Are we gonna compare & ask why our cops only have Taurus revolvers?

how are they determined as better? all three look like m4 carbines.
they just have a bunch of accessories on them [eotech, laser/light aiming modules], that, will no doubt make them heavier, but not necessarily better.
these guys dont seem to have side arms either.. [unless carried in mag pouches on their plate carriers or vests]
i'e seen alot of jordanian special forces [and in training] pics around the net lately, theyve been getting quite alot of press. -
where is their magazine?

theyre training so i guess they dont need them unless they go force-on-force or live rounds training.

I think it is unwise not to have the magazine in place even when during training because dirt and in the case of Iraq, fine sand can enter which sticks to the slightly oily BCG. This can cause the rifle to jam.
But on the other hand, this is definitely a good safety precaution. If there is no bullet in chamber,no magazine means no ammo.

likely to be a nomex balaclava/hood-bibbed
M4A1 carbine
Aimpoint Comp ML2 style red dot sighting system, high 30mm type scope mount
Surefire taclight, bezelled
Knight Armament style forward vertical grip
BUIS
probably a 3-point tactical sling
AN/PAQ-2/4B infra-red/visible light aiming system [probably infra-red 2/4 type since his visible light system is handled by the Surefire torch]
subload unidentified - either a drop pouch, gas mask bag or EOD type subload assembly [hsgi, bhi, etc]
vest is a RMV/RAV/CIRAS/etc type armour carrying system.
bit hatd to tell what the camo is - vaguely old style choc-chip, but not enough popcorn patern it.
rear two guys have iraqi republican guard camo, basic hard plate carriers, m4 carbines, camelbak-type hydration pouches/carriers and last guy has an NVG mount plate on his helmet. -
