  use to have 3 x 120mm Bn & 2 x 155mm Bn.
  ("Fighting Spirit" by Michael Chiang)
  
  If 120mm Bn is abolish
  
  Means that Division lost about 1/2 of its Arty firepower
  
  Is that acceptable since arty is so important in our part of the world ?

  Just curious, with the withdrawn of 105mm from service, where does Pegasus, our lightweight howitzer and Optimus, our self-propelled platform, stand in the Division Arty orbat?

  105 for infantry....
  Don't forget we still have FH-88s & 2000s
  Pegasus LWH = more mobile and versatile FH (heli-portable).
  I think Primus can be suited for TD role.... how would an apc's armor react against direct shot 155mm HE round.
  Primus also for versatility & flexibility....

  From what me understand, we are phasing out 84 RR and 106 RR to add in 105 HW as a field support weapon for Inf. Can anyone verify on this?

  Where did hear that from? That doesn't sound logical to me.
  
  Though 84mmRR may be weaker than a 105mm howitzer, its strength lies in its portability and versatility. Howitzers need to be towed into position. The good ol' Carl Gustav 84mm is man-carried.

  Me was a Bn clerk in 1997 when they phased out the 84 & 106 with the removal of the sections from the Inf orbat, even the MILAN was removed and phased out for the Gds Bn.

  You have a platoon of 4 x 105mm lightgun for each Infantry Battalion ?

  What does TD stands for ? Tank Destroyer ?

  SG active arty units is not a very large number compare to the other formation
