well, i'm not sure if it is a joke.. but here it is...
the Urban Combat Skateboard
LCPL Chad Codwell, from Baltimore, Maryland, with Charlie Company 1st Battalion 5th Marines, carries an experimental urban combat skateboard which is being used for maneuvering inside buildings in order to detect tripwires and sniper fire. This mission is in direct support of Urban Warrior '99.
looks like a bad quality skateboard no self-respecting thrasher would be caught dead holding, much less skating on...

To detect trip wires, what they need is this:
Cheap, good and is what is fashionably called COTS. -
Yeah, im interested in how the skateboard works on tripwires too... the spray thing is really so far the best idea i heard of to detect trip wires in urban environment.
