Agreed.Originally posted by fudgester:Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 1990.
It took months for the UN to come up with a resolution to liberate Kuwait. It was only in January 1991 before the Yanks and Tommies came running to Kuwait's rescue.
So it's naive to assume that no country needs an army just because we have the UN.
In short, we still need the SAF. End of story.
UN ? forget it - they only come to late - only come after people have rob you. And when the come, there is hidden deals and agenda, they rob you also .Originally posted by latterrain:We have the UN to take care of everything. Any views?

Wales is part of the United Kingdom and is under the umbrella of the British Armed Forces. The Vatican has its own private "army" or Swiss guards although more of a ceremonial position but every one of them are capable soldiers.Originally posted by c0ol_blu3z:wales dun hav any army. so does HOLY SEE.. their being protected by ENGLAND n ITALY
