Replacement for RSAF C-130H?

Our C-130 fleet have been extensively been used for many years. I think the time for their replacement is not too far away. There have been talk of RSAF intrest in the C-17 but that is of another class altogether. Assuming that there is no more room for upgrades. I think the possible contenders are the following. Just a point to note, the Malaysians have already ordered A400M and judging from history the RSAF almost never buy something which our neighbours have, especially in military aircraft. Please feel free to add any more possible contenders and comments,thanks

The RSAF is really interested in the C-17? Then the RSAF will finally have a strategic airlift capability... Coming to the main topic on our medium-lift capability, I feel that the logical replacement for the C-130B/H fleet would be the C-130J, which is still in production for the USAF. The A400M would be nice but it is unlikely that we will buy that. -

Our C-130H have been usede extensively lately such as in the humaritarian aid(2004 tsunami etc), peace-keeping(Iraq) and routine transport missions ( supporting overseas trainings such as Lancer) Well, my guess will be the C-130J. The following are my reasons.
1. I think the A400M already been ordered by Malaysians so no much chance we getting the same aircraft. Furthermore A400M more expensive as they are to be paid in euros.
2. C-27J Spartans are a bit on the small side so not good enough to replace the C-130H. Our F-50 are roughly in the same class as the Spartans.
3. C-17 is not in the class of the C-130 and is more of a strategic transport asset. The production line is also closing down soon. Furthermore our KC-135R can also be used for transport. Unless Mindef plan to acquire strategic transport capability otherwise it is unlikely.
Any other possible candidates for replacement? -
my bet's on the C-130J.

Keep the C-130 series...then maybe can get the Spectre as well! I love that plane, so many guns sticking out!

because as more users switch to A400 eventually they will stop using C130 and keep it in storage or sell it, thats when we can get them at rock bottom firesale prices. -

It's not doubtful if you have read up on the Pentagon's plan for hubbing of strategic recon and airlift assets with Australia and possibly Singapore.
Funding is offset somehow too.Wet-leasing may be on the cards.
