not true. by saying that we singaporeans are divided among overselves, you are generalising too. In the event of a crisis, We, Singaporeans, will come together and face all obstacles. Just like how we overcame the communist threat, racial riots and political unstabilty in the past. We will stand as one people, one nation, one singapore.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:If you compare our armed forces to yours, we may not have the most modern facilities or most modern equipment or the most skilled engineers to support our battlesystems but do not underestimate our determination, the morale among our forces are generally high and we are very united and and if I may compares to yours is the exact opposite, you are divided amongst yourselves, if you look into your newspapers you have countrymen today who are so divided over a range if issues of national service thats some don't want to serve for whatever reason and in forums such as this some even openly declare they will not aid or fight for your country in the hour of need and prefer to run away what is that? ... tsk tsk tsk
Having a modern army does not win wars .. whats the point of having such a modern army if your people cannot even pull together.
how would the mentioning of palm oil for arms make malaysia look backwardOriginally posted by tvdog:What a devious little rat - twisting my words again... but it is clear YOU are the one here making Malaysia out to be backwards etc... with every sentence you write.
I can't really put my finger on it, I must admit, but I get the feeling you are not who you say you are, and you are trying to lead people here into a Singapore vs Malaysia debate.
And I wonder what your agendas are?
Hi thanks for trying to clear that up, in my previous post I did mention that it was the majority of singaporeans and not all singaporeans. I used the word majority seeing as how a handful of forumers(if you read through the thread) seems to scoff at the idea of palm oil for arms deal.Originally posted by Shotgun:I'm sorry to butt in. But for the record, I do not believe all Singaporeans find dealing in palm oil shameful or backward. Trade is trade.
If Malaysia buys flankers using partial palm oil barter, I dun think as Singaporeans we have any problems or criticism about it as a whole. None of our business.
Thank you for your support, it's good to know there are people here mostly are geniunely interested in discussing military topics though I also realise that from time to time there will be a few loose cannon hotheads who won't be able to resist hitting out again.Originally posted by sigal2k+:I'm glad you replied!
Well i'm hoping you would comment that why you dont take a less hostile stance when one of my own silly countrymen make silly statements that degrade your nation! It doesnt make you look that nice in return either.
I 'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who actually support you too! You arent a one-man firefighter squad. Just hope that you dont jump the gun for every blank you see fired from this side of the causeway.
I do look forward in you providing details on how your nation operates. Of course, pity to those who flame you or declares how your nation army's weak blah blah blah.
I know for certain a round no matter how small if it hits you, the least it does is hurt and the most it does...when you will know when it does hits you right?
So hopefully you can provide us more details than what we know about the Sea Skua misslie and your other naval fleets?
I couldn't agree more after reading through all the post, those fags should grow up and stop brawling. This is military nuts, but that doesn't mean you literally behave like a nut.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:Thank you for your support, it's good to know there are people here mostly are geniunely interested in discussing military topics though I also realise that from time to time there will be a few loose cannon hotheads who won't be able to resist hitting out again.
our highly manoeuvrable MKM fighters are the most powerful fighters in the region and the pride of malaysia, the F15 is a good workhorse but a rather old oneBy Abung_Adik
There is nothing wrong with making light of the missile failure; especially in the light of other incidents. This is afterall SGforum. You can see such commentary in most, if not all of the country-based forums, military ones included and yours as well. It could have been an entirely different issue if it`s an international one arguably. Nevertheless, one would assume that you could provide a reasonable explanation to the missile incident. But that`s hard I agree. But at very least you could afford to join in a discussion of the possible reasons.
dun worry the skua failure is a small setback, we have plenty more to testfire, next year we will export even more palm oil, sell more rubber or sell more raw water to buy even more armaments from our russian suppliers who are more than willing to give us anything we want, how much money are you planning to spend next year?

Did I hit out at Malaysians? I hit out at Ahbang_Ahdid. So mind your own business, bi.tch.Originally posted by donchoo:I couldn't agree more after reading through all the post, those fags should grow up and stop brawling. This is military nuts, but that doesn't mean you literally behave like a nut.
accepted.Originally posted by tvdog:OK, let me put it this way aws a way of apologies to Ahbang:
I've not lived in Singapore for 10 years. Though I kept up to date and know what weapons the Malaysians have, I didn't know that they ACTUALLY bartered for it with palm oil. So when he said it, I thought he was making fun of Malaysia.
But it seems that it is actually true fact so I was WRONG in thinking Ahbang was making things up to stir trouble.
And he is also right - no shame in using one commodity to trade for another commodity.
And for the record: I did not say anything bad about Malaysians. I was (WRONGLY) accusing him, of pretending to be a Malaysian.
Sorry. My ignorance.
Just to be frank with you.....your post on MKM Flanker is the start of the flame.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:accepted.
Please also accept my apologies to anyone who I have slighted or offended anybody here with my remarks.
