ah ... finally 1 friendly singaporean so far, must say is very neighbourly of you to welcome me here, I too would like to know everything I can abt the mighty singaporean armed forces and engage in the occasional intellectual teet' a teet'Originally posted by tankee1981:C'mon bros lets not start a flame war shall we? After all our new friend here is polite so far right? Lets have some intellectual debate here. ahbung_ahdid can provide an alternative view point, i am sure we don't know everything about Malaysia yet right? Cheers
You stupid fcuk. Stop pretending to be a Malaysian.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:dun worry the skua failure is a small setback, we have plenty more to testfire, next year we will export even more palm oil, sell more rubber or sell more raw water to buy even more armaments from our russian suppliers who are more than willing to give us anything we want, how much money are you planning to spend next year?
Welcome to this forums.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:You are always welcome to malaysia and thank you for choosing us as your holiday destination, your S$ is more than twice our ringgit so your spending power is great, pls spend as much as possible your contribution to our economy will indirectly be helping improve our armed forces for the betterment of security in this region.
As to your reference about oil prices, palm oil is used for food manufacturing and cosmetics so it's different, currently we are experimenting biodiesel which hold great promise for all the nations in this region except singapore(which doesn't have any land resources to grow palm.) so the answer is no, there is no relation between palm oil and oil prices I'm sure with a little research you would be able to tell the difference.
Pls excuse my english it is very poor but you are more than welcome to spar with me if you think it makes you feel better.
Hey sorry to inform you this mountain tortise that if you check the fact properly, F15E and su-27 did their first test flight almost in the same year !Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:[img]our highly manoeuvrable MKM fighters are the most powerful fighters in the region and the pride of malaysia, the F15 is a good workhorse but a rather old one
So fast angry?Originally posted by tvdog:You stupid fcuk. Stop pretending to be a Malaysian.
The things you say are so obviously only what a Singaporean would say about Malaysia.
+1 hey sup with the flaming man. We are all South East Asians. Sheesh.. Look a war is going to break out in the middle east in a few months. Japan N.Korea and SK might fight too. China and Japan dun say. Let the other regions fight because they have serious issues. We south east asians on the other hand are not as bad as the rest of the world. So try to work together, surely you dont want to make matters worst when the sheet hits the fan now yeah?Originally posted by sigal2k+:Actually ahbung_ahdid,
every country has plenty of fellow men who spill forth rubbish in a heat of a moment.
I pretty sure that you cannot represent Malaysia all by yourself as well! Surely one man like you no matter how passionate or patriotic can be equal to the sum of your nation's citizens?
Of course while i personally do not wish to see a flame war start...your generalization of a "typical Singaporean" does not rise above of what YOU think of us on regarding a "typical Malaysian".
In fact the likelihood of armed conflict between our two nations are very unlikely. We have relatives on your side of the Causeway and yours on ours. Surely such close personal ties or not worth an armed conflict that promotes mutually-assured destruction?
More likely i say, while our Countries Armed Forces do not really cooperate that much, i believe that it is more of a matter of convienence. Our weapon systems are different from yours and thus harder to intergrate. Rather to say, Singapore trains where their systems are found to be similar.
Do not be surprise that in a true armed conflict, your MKMs flies along with our F-15s to fight a bigger foe.
Cheers!
My personal view.
Did I say you are not Malay/Malaysian cos you speak proper English?Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:So fast angry?
Ah you are the typical singaporean that always have such narrow minded impression that malaysians as lazy, malays cannot be educated, malays cannot speak good english, malays are poor in anything academic and have to be backward so that you feel good abt yourself, boosts your ego's and makes you forget your smallness for a while. And if you meet one that speaks unbroken english he can't be malaysian. Feel free to carry on nursing your pride.
Pls don't try to say I trying to cause trouble, look who's talking here your first post to me you throw the word "fuck" who's the one trying to pick a fight here, as to palm oil for arms, I think the whole world knows abt this already and it's quite old news for that matter, people have internet and newspapers in their own country too you know? I guess from the way your posting goes you "sound" like a bumkin, I think you should get out of your pond and see the world.Originally posted by tvdog:Did I say you are not Malay/Malaysian cos you speak proper English?
What I meant was that all the things that you had been saying are quite belittling of Malaysia. So you can't be a real Malaysian. And this is what? your 5th post? Just registered for this topic pretending to be a Malaysian to cause some trouble, right?
Guys, don't get fooled by him. I'm sure he's a Singaporean. All the things he said: like Malaysia exhanging palm oil for arms, sell more water for arms etc sound more like a Singaporean talking about Malaysia in a degrading way than a Malaysian talking about his own country.
personally... i feel that you are a malaysian pretending to be singaporean.Originally posted by tvdog:Did I say you are not Malay/Malaysian cos you speak proper English?

Interesting piece of news. Before - it was the Royal Malaysian Navy the conducted the test launch. Now that the tests have failed, the reports read - Matra BAE Dynamics was actually conducting the tests. Not too surprising at all given thier culture of pushing the blame around. At any rate, the lack of accountability is built into thier system. Militarily, this has resulted in a series of bizarre bar paranormal incidents which throughly embarasses everyone who comes to know of them. Of course, this includes half-baked and half-completed military bases, delayed construction of naval ships(which comes with incomplete manuals among others), stolen weaponry from bases, idle IFVs with no spare parts, etc. Not to mention the whole range of weapon purchases which could resemble a shopping cart from a `pasar-malam.' All in, it`s a good show(and a good laugh)and they are advised to carry on given its implications.

Anyway, this incident could come into the top ten of thier bloopers especially with the publicity given. Waiting for more..akan datang.
Also, the lack of basic information on the F-15SGs versus the MKMs they are having is good too. Tsk Tsk...so much for credibility.
Did I involve you in this argument? Do you feel left out?Originally posted by tripwire:personally... i feel that you are a malaysian pretending to be singaporean.
What a devious little rat - twisting my words again... but it is clear YOU are the one here making Malaysia out to be backwards etc... with every sentence you write.Originally posted by ahbung_ahdid:...as to palm oil for arms, I think the whole world knows abt this already and it's quite old news for that matter, people have internet and newspapers in their own country too you know?
Well well well, I guess "some" of your singaporean countrymen in this forum are guilty of generalization too yah?To be brutally honest even if it is`nt already too clear by now, those were specific incidents which really are`nt that scattered in occurences to say they are`nt generalizations as you put it but a general way of life. It would not be too wrong to say that it really should be that way; at least from the view from down south. Hmm..actually, in many countries too, if you know what i mean.
uh hum..now that`s assuming and generalizing..not that it has occured in reality really. What makes you think your own ilk would do the same??? Given the sporadic outages of dissent and inability to measure such things in all countries, you are grasping at thin air in order to measure capability. Can I say, the recent protest over the petrol fuel hike is an indication of a permanent tear in the fabric of your nationhood? Look at you own National Service and need i say more.
If you compare our armed forces to yours, we may not have the most modern facilities or most modern equipment or the most skilled engineers to support our battlesystems but do not underestimate our determination, the morale among our forces are generally high and we are very united and and if I may compares to yours is the exact opposite, you are divided amongst yourselves, if you look into your newspapers you have countrymen today who are so divided over a range if issues of national service thats some don't want to serve for whatever reason and in forums such as this some even openly declare they will not aid or fight for your country in the hour of need and prefer to run away what is that? ... tsk tsk tsk
Debatable. But in most cases where life and family are at stake, most do eventually pull together. And when it happens on both sides of the fence, technology and capability does measure up immensely and matter critically.
Having a modern army does not win wars .. whats the point of having such a modern army if your people cannot even pull together.
