Long time never read about military stuff liao but the shkval sounds familarOriginally posted by Shotgun:Hahhaa, lets buy a few shkval torpedoes from the russians too. Reverse engineer and put them on our vastergotlands.
Talk about scary sh!t! Super cavitation torpedoes in constraint waters like ours... I' say thats pretty hi pk!
yep...its a supercavitating torpedo, but as far as i know, it has no guidance and only has a magnetic influence detonator. But its speed more than makes up for the lack of guidance, as it would most likely reach its target before it can make any change in course.Originally posted by Marco_Simone:Long time never read about military stuff liao but the shkval sounds familar
Is that the 200knot torpedo which the USN is shit scared of?
No reports are out yet regarding the type of torpedoes they are arming the seahawks with.Originally posted by tankee1981:Anyone know what sort of torpedoes are the recently acquired Seahawks equipped with?![]()
Ya, launching one of these will expose your location to everyone... as it was known to b very noisy and short range.Originally posted by sgFish:yep...its a supercavitating torpedo, but as far as i know, it has no guidance and only has a magnetic influence detonator.
