  Welcome to P company. Welcome to depot para. Outside of the various selection courses for the various elements of special forces, this is arguably the hardest course in the british army

  This is a one hour documentary about a group of trainees trying out for P company. P coy is the 3 week selection course that all who want to enter the Parachute Regiment ('The Paras') must pass. This documentary of course cannot begin to depict accurately the entire course since it has condensed the course to one hour.
  
  The docu was screened at around 1990, but I have been told that the format of the course is still largely the same.

  Found another documentary on P coy on the net. This is one episode of a BBC 7 part documentary on the Parachute regiment. It follows one batch of recruits through parachute regiment training. As far as I can tell, this documentary screened just after the falklands war.

  I think this footage is better than the one above because there is more detailed information on P-coy. For eg, we are told that the recruits have to complete a 10 mile (16km) march in 1h 45mins carrying FBO. Seems quite siong and we see 2 recruits suffer from heat exhaustion.
