Parents consent for sign on

Shall SAF ask recruits sign on without parents' consent?
Some bright recruits were persuaded to sign on,instead
of going to U which has a placement for him after NSF.
End up cannot completed the contract
and goes to Poly,then U!!!What a detour!
2.I suggest parents' consent shall be obtained for
all sign on who are below 21.
Anyway,NSF are still not so mature to make this
kind of big decisions,though they are licensed to kill
enemy during war. -
Erm... yes, those under 21 DO REQUIRE parents consent to sign on.
Even those above 21, they also require a parents signature to show that their parents support their decision to sign on. =) -

U dun need official parental consent when u sign on. However, u need 2 guarantors when u sign the papers for LSA or any other scholarships.

i completed my contract with the armed forces after 9 years of service.
i sign on age 17 and require parents consent and 1-2 gurantor.
21 years old should be old enough to make decision and career of your choice and should bear the consequences should you decide to break the bond.
if one is already 21 and still cant decide to sign on or not. my advice, if not sure dont sign on the dotted line.
only 2 ppl will sign on.
1st type is desperate of money like me.

dude, i went for interview b4. I had the "consent" form. Under 21 must have parents to sign this paper. Above 21, should also have parents consent as a show of support for the decision.
That was just last year.

I think so. Anyways, that was like last year. I think they won't adopt a system like that and den suddenly drop it rite?

Erm, all i can say is that the specialist position I applied for is not listed on all those recruitment brochures one.
The forms ah, ur first form will be the application. Subsequently u have a few more forms to declare ur particulars, family particulars, etc. Then there is the parents consent form for signing on, and another consent form for Napfa test. Napfa if u are above 21, can ignore the consent form. The other one, they insist of having signature of ur parents to show their support.
A lot of paperwork lar. -
