According to Channel 8 6.30 news. Lost during a Nite topo exercise. WTF. Topo also will lose M16 ? Must be sleep time lost it.

Now from the incident we can see the new trend for our "new gen Singaporrean"
1) Small things cannot take care. Topo can lost the M16 rifle... maybe from a very wealthy family, everything got maid to serve him.
2) Loose lips. One of young man involved in the search must be very very expressive and feel that there should be freedom of speech, thus he start calling the "Channel 8" news hotline to "express his displeasure" for spending his good F**king time in the forest, rather with his SYT sweetheart in the room conducting "body search" for his rifle. -
Me also blur kia. Last time went for training take lorry(toner?). Forget to bring my rifle, left it in my cupboard(locked). IN the end, kena 1 week extra but i considered myself lucky le...

Back in July/Aug 1985 when in SAFINCOS (then, now SISPEC) a trainee lost MILES helmet attachment, same place in lower mandai just off Neo Tiew.
Next four saturdays spent looking for it. Finally found it on top of a tortoise. Trainee recieved 12 extra duties. -

1 OCS trainee lost his SAW butt in Tekong during section field camp. 1 CDO found it and returned it to his PC. Nothing happened to trainee.

OCS instructor lost 1 GPMG barrel in ROC. Think we were practising movement to contact exercise when the exercise was halted and entire company was tasked to find the barrel. Fortunately, local villagers found the barrel and returned it to OC. Instructor received 7 extras. -

One of my ex-platoon mates lost a field telephone in Tekong during an exercise. It was found and returned to us by some Guards unit. My platoon mate got 14 extras. At least he got to serve some of them as day guard rather than complex guard.

most likely charged under sect. 42 SAF act at least before Sn Disclipinary Officer (maybe court martial) and BOI after.

(b) by wilful neglect causes or allows damage to, or the loss of, any Singapore Armed Forces property or property so belonging,

(2) Every person subject to military law who —
(a) by any negligent act or omission causes or allows damage to, or the loss of, any Singapore Armed Forces property; or

i) do a melvin tan - can you please confiscate my $30,000 and my right to live in Singapore for next 25++ years.
ii) shoot yourself in the foot, declare you are a concentious (sp?) objector, a follower of the fanglukong or 7th day adventist. end up 2 year in DB.
seriously, just heard someone else had previously lost a rifle when he slung his rifle on his full pack.. what a duh.. who is his BMT instructor, never heard of weapon safety? -
