  I thot slat armors were a lot thicker. hmmm.
  
  These are the add ons to trigger shaped charged rounds such as RPG at further distance from the vehicles, hopefully defusing the damage.

  that is y drivers usually enter from top... tru the hatch... from ramp, the diver will curse and swear.... last time kena b4... tried out the evac drill..

  SM1 drivers have an equally if not more terrible time evacuating from their compartment into the turret then through the E-hatch!

  those bbq grilles are more for shoulder launched shaped charged rounds, eg rpg, law etc.
