  In my opinion...still the classics... FN MAG GPMG

  The Browning is not a GPMG to begin with as stated in your topic. I think our ST 0.5 HMG is better. Comments from ex-users?

  Erm, I've always thought GPMG and HMG are different things...
  GPMG fires 7.62

  Yes..0.5 caliber is not GPMG...thats why i said for "0.5 caliber" , i like the Browning..

  btw - there is an updated MG-42 - the MG-3 which is exectly the same except that it fires the NATO 7.62mm round.
