RSAF Deploys to India for another exercise.

Kolkata, December 23: THE American F-16s will be back at Kalaikunda Air Force base in West Midnapore district, about 200 km from Kolkata, for the second time in less than two months. ItÂ’s time for yet another joint air exercise, this time between India and Singapore.
The Singapore Air Force will be bringing in eight F-16s and 130 personnel for the exercise at Kalaikunda. The exercise, to begin from January 3, will continue for 18 days, according to Wg Cdr R K Das, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Defence in Kolkata.
A similar exercise between India and the United States Air Force (USAF) at Kalaikunda in November had triggered a massive protest rally from the CPI(M) and other Left parties. Nearly 60,000 people had assembled outside the air base to lodge their protest against such joint military exercise with US forces.
The Left leaders had then complaiend that the Centre was compromising IndiaÂ’s sovereignity and security concerns. Their cadres also burnt effigies of American President George Bush.
Like the Indo-US exercise, the Indo-Singapore air exercise is also going to be an elaborate one. A similar exercise between the two forces was held in Gwalior, this one is the second in the series. In 2004, the IAF had deployed the Surya Kiran formation aerobatic team and the helicopter display team, Sarang, at Singapore during their annual air show.
The defence officials said that such exercises are aimed at ‘‘fostering and developing’’ better relations with friendly foreign countries through fruitful interaction in operational, technical and administrative practices’’.
The Indian Air Force has already increased the level of cooperation with Air Forces of friendly countries like USA, France, South Africa, UK, China and Russia, the officials claimed.
The infrastructure at the Air Force station at Kalaikunda has been upgraded to host such bilateral exercies with foreign Air Forces, the defence official said. Singapore has a versatile Air Force and operates modern aircraft and weapon system, it was stated.

Sometime in mid Jan, Indian newspapers would brag how their hot shot top guns shot down our RSAF planes like flies in the ex, and whether it is true or not.

A joint exercise between the Indian Air Force and Republic of Singapore Air Force would be taking place at Air Force Station Kalaikunda between 03 Jan 06 to 20 Jan 06. The Republic of Singapore would be participating with eight F-16 aircraft and IAF would be taking part with a Squadron of MiG-27s.
The present exercise is the second in the series of such exercise. Last year a similar exercise, Sindex-04, was held at Gwalior. These exercises are meant to foster and develop cordial relations between the countries through their air forces. These exercises posses colossal training potential and both the air forces get to learn from each others experiences.

If Israeli win , Pakistan will laugh and everyone knows that India Air Force isn't a powerful force actually.
If Israel lose , Pakistan will think that the reports are fabricated since it was reported that USA and Singapore air force also lost to them.
Best is to keep it a secret -
Just look at the condition of their MIG-21 and you will know how their air force is doing . By how the way they maintain and care for their aircraft you will know the actual combat ability.

The Indian and PAK Pilots are among the best trained in the world... ask anyone in the industry.
As for their Mig-21, it's true their scraps, because they are also very old and are in large numbers. -

This is the best way for the crew to learn. India airforce is one of the best in the region. They have very good understanding for french , Migs, SUs and US planes.
By exercising with them , we can learn the shortcoming of our planes and shortcoming of the SUs. -

SINDEX provides the RSAF with a valuable opportunity to train alongside the IAF, and to conduct air manoeuvres in realistic and challenging conditions. The exercise also helps enhance mutual understanding and inter-operability between the two air forces. SINDEX underscores the growing defence cooperation between Singapore and India, which includes regular exchange of visits and other professional interactions.

Wah... 4 hour flight is no joke in a fighter c0ckpit. Lots of things to worry about, from butt cramping to sudden urge to poop. The KC-135 crew should be quite happy tho... got bathrooms, in flight meals etc. -

It may be that a lot of Indian military harware is outdated but the people or in this case pilots are superb.
Just look at the condition of their MIG-21 and you will know how their air force is doing . By how the way they maintain and care for their aircraft you will know the actual combat ability.
Sometime ago there was a report in ST how, commercial airlines were poaching pilots from the IAF.
And besides anyone who can even fly aircraft in those conditions requires a certain level of skill.
