training against live targets is done with blanks but since our countries has large training areas we do a lot of live firings Their NS time i 6 months for ordinary soldiers, 9 for soldiers in technical branches and 12 for soldiers in the readiness brigades ( since their modernisation a couple of years ago) . Almost all males do NS service in Finland. in modern time the Finns has fought Three wars, 2 of them against the Russians, so they still regard the bear as their main threat
The video is a "motivation film" to show the NS men what is expected of them in the case of an attack on Finnish soil.
In the beginning you se Rangers watching the borders, when the invader is spotted they build up with Mech battalions, infantry, artillery and go on a counter attack. in the end they show clips from the WW2 to remind the soldiers about the offers their grandpas, uncles and other relatives did, In Finland it is very hard to object to NS when you have a grandmother telling you about your grandpa being killed fighting the Russians in 39 and both her brothers being killed in 43 and 44 (story told to me by a Finn)
