WWII Fave: Focke Wulf Fw190
A real shocker for the Allies during the mid 1943-44. This was one wicked dogfighter. Spitfire Mk IXs were totally outclassed. During the battle of Dieppe, the sea-borne landings failed because the RAF were raped big time by this new German fighter.
- The British were using Spitfire IX from June 1942
- The Germans were using Fw-190D & G as in 1942
- The Spitfire IX was a success considering that it was an interim aircraft -

RAF Avro Vulcan delta wing bomber. Originally designed to carry "Blue Steel" nuclear missiles, it can also carry conventional bomb load in its bomb bay. Only time it saw action was during the Falkland War.

Combat systems
The RaptorÂ’s combat computer systems and power are unmatched by any other fighter planned to be developed by 2020. Unprecedented amounts of information can be gathered from the radar and other onboard and offboard systems, filtered by the CIP, and offered in easy-to-digest ways on several cockpit displays, enabling the pilot to remain on top of complicated situations. The RaptorÂ’s software is composed of over 1.7 million lines of code, most of which concerns processing data from the radar [5]. -
