  WWII Fave: Focke Wulf Fw190
  
  A real shocker for the Allies during the mid 1943-44. This was one wicked dogfighter. Spitfire Mk IXs were totally outclassed. During the battle of Dieppe, the sea-borne landings failed because the RAF were raped big time by this new German fighter.
  
  After that, cold war - present:
  
  AV-8B Harrier II and the ASF F22 ranks up there.
