  i received a letter from mindef informing that i am no longer liable for national service.
  
  extracted from mindef website.
  
  Disposal Point for NSmen's Personal Equipment (PE)
  
  For NSmen reaching 50 years old for officer and 40 years old for WOSE, they can dispose their own PE at the following designated collection points:
  
  GEMC – Army Logistics Base
  601 Old Choa Chu Kang Road
  Singapore 699817
  
  National Servicemen Services Centre
  1 Depot Road, CMPB
  Singapore 109679

  they are very prompt. sent me the letter 3 weeks after my 40th birthday. officers have to wait until their 50th birthday.

  If I am you... I will gather all the rest of the barang barang.. arrange it into a stack and burn it like a bonfire. Then dance around and laugh madly at the same time. The feeling should be quite shiok.
