Both sides will suffer major casualties.
It should be considered as a very last option when there's no alternative available.

Sometimes mahathir also likes to complain on how singapore treat malay-muslims.Malay muslims are living happily and they are earning money , and they have their own hdb asset worth over 100k.
There are so many abuses and bullying across the thai border and the region there is much more complicated..

In any case, Malaysia had always tried to treat us as a vassal state. Mahathir is also the least progressive and narrow minded fill with personal agenda PM Malaysia ever had.
We r known to be the whipping boys of Malaysia... just because we small. Maybe our parliment shld have someone so talkative and strong in words like Potong Pasir MP Mr Chiam to be foreign minister and shout back at that M&M then they know our power.Originally posted by AF2005:ha ha , i thought you say you want to leave sgforums. anyway, we tiny island. their politicians feel shiok to bash us. KL 'too soft in bilateralties'Comments???
Malaysian Members of Parliament have urged the government to review foreign policy with neighbouring countries, particularly when negotiating issues of national interest.
Datuk Mohamed Aziz called for a review on a basis of neighbouring countries allegedly having taken advantage of Malaysia's soft attitude of late. (![]()

I think his vocab is quite limited la...
Soft meh...)
Citing Singapore as an example, he said the Republic had made statements on unresolved issues.
"I feel that the time has come for us to change strategies in negotiating unresolved issues like the bridge, water and land reclamation issues, (They are always changing their stance. They are the one who suggested to negotiate everything as a package. Now they want to separate everything. I wonder in future if they want negotiate 2 get 1 free...)" he said yesterday in Parliament.
His call was back by Mr Salahudin Ayob, who said neighbouring countries no longer had any feeling of respect for the diplomatic relations between them and Malaysia.
"We cannot continue to say that we have good diplomatic ties with them when other countries do not respect this diplomatic ties," he said.
He referred to Thailand, which often accused Malaysia of harbouring Muslim separatist groups.
In reply, Deputy Foreign Minister Joseph Salang anak Gandum said measures taken by Malaysia in dealing with bilateral issues with neighbouring countries were in all accordance with the procedures.
Even though Malaysia did not adopt a firmer stance, it did not mean the country would simply heed the claims made by its neighbours.
