I remember i say the brochure on ST website before but when i go search again i can't find it anymore. Anyone have the specs to the older artillery gun? Maybe we can compared it with Pegasus.![]()

you can expect armoured Pegasus is coming.
ST Kinetics has entered into a confidentiality undertaking with its customer, the Ministry of Defence, and is unable to disclose further details of the contract. This contract was awarded to ST Kinetics in 1996 before ST Engineering was formed and prior to the restructure of ST Kinetics under ST Engineering. This announcement is not a disclosure of a new contract as the contract value had been recognised in the order book of ST Engineering and some revenue recognition has already taken place.also read the brochure here.

I think the reason to develop artillery over tank is a commercial one.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I'd rather they come out with a light tank or MBT soon.

none tat we seen so far, but tis may change..Originally posted by tvdog:I think the reason to develop artillery over tank is a commercial one.
ST must feel that there is a untapped market for such a system as it is a rather new concept. And with the emphasis on RDF both in SAF and worldwide, they could very well have a money-spinner on hand.
On the other hand, there must be close to 50 countries in the world that makes tanks - so it is more competitive.
Our previous 155mm systems have proven to be very sound and very saleable. So it is right to keep milking this area.
The Bronco will also probably prove very saleable. Has any other country bought some yet?
wad has height got to do wif crew protection?Originally posted by sbst275:We will have to see its height
FH2000 never became the Primus. The Primus is a hybrid of the UCVP and the Paladin chassis..Originally posted by deathscythe99:

Not everything can be solved by range extending....to extend range, u must sacrifice somethingOriginally posted by abao:Well, if the SAF really wanted a very light gun, why dont they use a recoiless gun (like the WWII German LG75)? This way theres no recoil and thus a weight saver. The only disadvantage is that some range is lost (but they can use some range-extending shells right?).
Pricing I suppose. If Pegasus can be cheaper than M777, it might make a buyer swing to ST Kinetics' toy.Originally posted by bcoy:New gun - nice name.
This new gun will be in direct competition with the new M777 Ultra lightweight howitzers. Similar concepts, barrel looks similar, but the M777 does not use an APU.
Maybe the Australians would be interested.
Ya I know. The drawback is the barrel gets worn out faster and its less accurate.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Not everything can be solved by range extending....to extend range, u must sacrifice something
