RSS Courageous

RSS Courageous was involved in an accident some time back and was badly damaged. Did SAF replace RSS Courageous with another anti-submarine patrol vessel? If no replacement is made, aren't we short of 1 anti-submarine patrol vessel in our orbat?

sorry, the RSN didn't announced any new patrol vessel into the fleet....
so, what's ur guess?
btw, our dear Ah-Gong got better plans....
nowadays, PVs and APVs got problems of manpower...

btw our current crops of PVs and APVs are doing very well....
They are sailing like no tommorrow, in view of the current situation of terrorism...
So like the advertisement, you can zzZZzzzZz soundly knowing that there are many sailors outta there protecting you... haha -
Hear from my friend's brother (he's in the navy) that RSS Courageous is still in our orbat, but then it is not yet being repaired. Still laying in the dry docks in the last known state/condition...

if i'm ah gong, i will not repair it man.... u may ask why?
1st, it's damage is beyond repair..... the cost of repairing it is not justifiable...
2nd, 96 is in 189SQN and now under COSCOM and their scope of ops are diff now and same as 182 SQn... in fact 182 SQN and 189 SQn have merge as 1 sQN and call 182/189 SQN....
And the scope of ops for the sqn is lotsa n lotsa sailing....
PV/APV sail like no tomorrow....
then u asked, since schedule so tight and 1 ship less, isn't it bearing more burden on the present ships in the sqn??
but our upper level Gong Gongs aalready changed the way our ship crew works and the grouping...
btw w/o 96 now is not a problem.... cuz >dunno whether i shld say annot<

I read somewhere that the PVs and APVs now have two crews, Blue and Gold or something... so that the ships are constantly available for action... one crew man it, the other crew resting.
So they can have more available boats without increasing number of hulls.... but double manpower requirements. -
