RSAF chooses GE powerplant for F-15T

  i believe that for earlier F16, those aircraft using PW229 engine. the intake are design to take in 240pounds of air per seconds. But is our aircraft able to take in 270pounds of air per seconds if we change to GE129 engine

  That's a good point, just as other many if you interested to dig out.
  
  As I previously said: It's NOT easy to change sth specially related to aviation engine when it's integrated

  Note! the GE F110 engine is developed as an alternate a/c engine to the PW F100 from a USAF request to reduce dependence on PW as a engine supplier.... basically to bring cost down...
  
  So the F110 engine to built to be interchangable..... It CAN be done...
  
  But with greater thrust... whether F110 or F100, a large intake nozzle/design might be requried....
