u mean ST got make helicopters???Originally posted by tankee1981:The Huey have been in use for quite some time and have been retired recently. Some have been upgraded and sold to the Philippines. We are using the Super Pumas for the time being, maybe there will not be a replacement for Huey as yet. But should there be one, my bet is either the ST made EC120 or Blackhawk. Blackhawk may be chosen because we have already acquired
the Seahawk for our frigates. Comments?![]()

It would seem that the only bid that did meet the requirements of the RSN was the NH90. see belowOriginally posted by rascallyun:Youre missing the NH90 and the Merlin. But not sure if they still meet the specs since they did not pass the RSN bid.
So if NH industries was the only one that complied with the tender requirements, how did the Big S win the deal?Originally posted by kotay:It would seem that the only bid that did meet the requirements of the RSN was the NH90. see below

It all boils down to politics and budget concerns...Originally posted by rascallyun:So if NH industries was the only one that complied with the tender requirements, how did the Big S win the deal?![]()
I was trying to figure that out myself too ... could be the article is not accurate or could be that there were other factors (like commonality with helos for the troops). Guess we'll never know why.Originally posted by rascallyun:So if NH industries was the only one that complied with the tender requirements, how did the Big S win the deal?![]()
