This video was actually already released on this site with a different view. It is in the video archives as weapons test goes awry. It was actually a weapons seperation test. And the A-4 is behind and lower than the F-18 so it is not going up.

I was an Aviation Ordnanceman in the Navy in the early 80's and the F14 had the same problem. Before it was the Bombcat, when they tried to drop a bomb, it would roll in the air vortex and come around on top of the A/C. They fixed the release system and presto the Bombcat...

Well So you all know this is a video taken during testing. The "bomb" is actually an aux. Fuel tank being jettisoned. The A4 was a chase plane monitoring the flight and the pilot was killed. I belive this is basicly the situation as it happeneed
