I was in 42 SAR from Oct 98 to Dec 2000.
From June 2000 to Dec 2000, all the 2 yrs ORDed. Left a few of us around. Then in JUl, 75% of the remaining ppl got transfered to ATEC to act as aggressors, leaving me and another driver who cannot pass his ippt around (I could not pass my SOC).
Then in end Jul, our OC came and tell us that LRI is coming, the 2 of us have to prepare all the Bionix and M113 in our company line, and we and the only tankee left (he couldn't pass IPPT and SOC, poor thing), was like.

So me and the other driver took turns to service and change all the filters and oil on all the Bionixs, and I have to service the 2 M113 (ambulance and recovery).
On the actual day of the inspection, during the morning BOS check, found that the final drive oil has dropped, and immediately went to top it up. Spent about 20 mins trying to get the correct level, and suddenly, the CSM came and told me to drive vehicle to Workshop for the inspection! Damnit, me got chosen! Then the worst thing happened - overtop the final drive oil!
And the bloody thing was, the release knob on that Bionix was rounded!

And finally, out of desperation, we ran to the workshop, borrowed a tube from the fish tank, and sucked the extra oil out.
Who had to do the sucking? ME!
