Below is the ORBAT of a typical infantry company in Malaysia. This information is taken from another forum. Please view and comment.
Company= 3 platoons + 1 weapon section
Platoon= 3 sections + 1 GPMG team + PC + Signaller + PS
Section: 8men
2 x RPG-7 LAW
1 x SA MGL40mm
1 x FN Minimi SAW
4 x Steyr riflemen(including SC)
Weapon section = 3 or 4 x 60mm mortar -
2 RPG-7s per section?
Hmm it will definitely not be a walk through the park for an enemy armoured force... -
Thats true, they have pretty strong anti-armour capabilities. Maybe this arrangement is in response to our strong armoured forces.

Can someone provide our company's orbat as a form of comparism to our Malaysian counterpart? I am unable to do so because i didn't come from an operational infantry company. Thanks

no doubts... their death toll is gonna be very very high.... without a frontline medic.
by the time their rear support catch up... most of them would be dead or beyond hope from otherwise... "salvageable" cases.
but given the fact that malaysia is a volunteer system... its understandable most malaysian soldiers joined to become rambo... not medics...
and trainning a competent medic aint easy too... its alot more difficult being a medic then a rifleman. -

The 2 LAW gunners, will carry their SAR-21 also lar.
So its 7 guys.

Previously, they do not have these capabilities. Now, I guess SAF got to rethink our strategies and the way armour operates? if enemy wants to use rpg-7 , nothing you can do.

I think the statistics for our SAF company is not complete yet. So if anyone have any more to add please fill free to do so. I am intrested to know exactly what a typical SAF infantry company consists of and subsequently how it works. Thanks
PS: I have heard from my former OC that in the future the infantry will be able to ride in Bronco to battle. These Bronco will be more armoured than the normal transport version and equipped with a GMPG on top of the front driver's cabin. The GPMG gunner presumely the vehicle commander will operate the MG with an open hatch. Can anyone verify this? -

The RCL section has a minimum of 9 men I think (can anyone confirm? My memory's weak) - 4 gunners, 4 assistants, 1 commander.
As for the other 30 men, I guess there are always bound to have extra men running around. I remember in my coy's RCL section there were like 4 commanders and 8 riflemen. Likewise, on top of the OC runner and Coy signallers we had a 2IC runner as well. Heck, we had four storemen and some sections even had TWO commanders! -
