Check out the madness in the aftermath of Katrina. This only come to show that we in Singapore must never let our guard down to any kind of possible disasters whether it is man-made like war or natural ones such as the recent tsunami.

Even if such a thing happened in Singapore, the media would cover it up.

I don't think so. Our media may spout the government line, but al least they are quite honest. For example, the protest in front of the CPF building was reported in the press.

when LA in america had a major black out few years ago, the people did the same thing, going around looting. But when KL had a major black out, we did not hear of law breaking down. We saw in america it was the black, who were doing the looting. In Singapore, would any particular race, chinese, malay, indian or some immigrants?
I am confident that none of us would be doing that and we dont have any of these natural disasters, which we can do nothing about. -
