Peace in South China Sea?

There is a chinese report in another forum which states that the 3 countries of China,Vietnam and Philippines who have claims to all or part of the islands in the South China Sea have agree to cooperate to drill for oil there. The source is unknown. I have tried to post the chinese report here but unsuccessful. Here is the address to the topic in the other forum.

If there is a meltdown in South China Seas, we can have a rare chance in histrory to see
1) Chinese Type 52/51C destoryers Vs Meko 100 OPV
2) Chinese JF17/J10/J11 & Su30MKK vs Su30MKM (you know who lah)
3) YJ83 and sunburn missiles vs seawolf anti missile systems on Yarrow class frigates.

Dun look down on them ok.. Boleh Orang (man) very strong and brainy; even going for moon mission to plant their Boleh Flag over there. Maybe, they decide to re-name the South China Seas as West Pahang Seas, else why they buy the 8x F18 & 12x Su30MKM (speical mod to carry heavy load), 4 Yarrow Class Frigate and 20+ Meko Class 100 OPVs + 2 French Scropene Subs. The Boleh Orang are also eyeing on the AWAC aircrafts. The Boleh Orang has already successfully grab Pulau Sepantan (East malaysia) from our Indon friends, now they are looking at the north and south.

What i believe is that SG defend Brunei in exchange for training ground , therefore , their defense spending is substantially smaller.
Why need to spend money on defense when you got SG to defend you? right? -

True that their SBS or SCS should not be taken lightly but their entire armed forces is relatively small and in no condition to project strong forces to back up their claims against their much larger neighbours.
