Google Earth images of S'pore

Google Earth has uploaded high res images of SG. Not all areas though.
Can spot:
Pulau Tekong Resort (very sharp)
Airstrip at Pulau Sudong plus an area of pockmarked earth north of the airstrip. Result of live firing? (very sharp)
Aerial straffing target markings on Pulau Pawai (very sharp)
Pockmarked earth at Pulau Senang, more live-firing damage? (very sharp)
Many civilian planes at Seletar Airport (very sharp)
RSN ships and foreign navy ships at Tuas and Changi naval bases (sharp)
F50 and KC135 at Changi AB West (sharp)
Incomplete Changi AB East (so photo probably taken in early 04 or 03)
Sembawag AB (fair res)
Paya Lebar AB, can spot some airliner sized jets there, fighter sized jets can also be seen but are too blur (fair res)
There are also 2 loops of road east of the runway. The little buildings there are HAS??
Tengah AB (very blur, no details can be seen)

Its free and about 10MB. During use, images are loaded from Google's servers upon request. -
how to search a place?

Key in the name of the place or its latitude-longitude. Or simply scroll to that
place and zoom in, zoom out.
This program is very fun.
I've looked at Edwards AFB and saw F22, B1B and SR71 there.
Also saw B2 and F117 at Plant 42, Palmdale.
U2 (not the band!) at RAF Fairford,
dozens of B52 at Barksdale AFB,
Nimitz class carriers, amphibious carriers and destroyers at Norfolk Virginia, Groom Lake (Area 51),
many F18 at Miramar (Top Gun),
lots of F16 at Hill AFB,
lots of F15, F16, A10 at Nellis AFB,
shuttle assembly building and launch pads at Cape Canaveral,
the NSA-GCHQ listening station at Menwith Hill. -

Just use the normal search box at the top left.
Keying in something as 'low level' as Wisma Atria or Bishan will probably not give you any results. Their international database is not that detailed, but searching the US can go down very detailed.
Just go to Singapore and use visual navigation. -
I wonder how old the images of singapore are? 1 year ago or recently one?? -

The Google Earth thing is great. Can see the aircraft hangers, my old barrecks at Seleter camp, vehicles in Bedok camp etc. Too bad the western part of Singapore is of a poor quality image. -

dyess afb, texas (a B1 bomber base)
nellis afb, nevada...and so on
At the same time, take note that the cartographers at google are also not very "zhun" sometimes. For e.g the Luke afb as pinpointed by google is the municipal airport, while the real afb is actually nearby...so you have to visually navigate -

Anyway, can you also detect two and a half hawker hunters and a t-33/strikemaster on the same base?
It seems that there are a few places in SEA that's been updated aside from Singapore. The other place you might wanna check out is Korat, Thailand - the renown afb. You can see some a row of f-15s (likely USAF) and opposite them are some intruders/prowlers and some group of aircraft i can't id
Pity peninsula Malaysia isn't updated -
Keying in the latitude-longitude is the best way to 'fly' there. You can find coordinates at http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/facility/afb.htm. Alternatively, visit http://www.wikipedia.org, their entries on military facilities often have coordinates. Visit Cambridge, Massachusetts.
You'll be amazed at the resolution - 6 inch/pixel. This is the highest res place in Google Earth at this moment. -
