Seriously, we need replacements for the AMX-13SM1 tanks and the Sjoormen subs. For all of their value, they're old.
In addition we need some countermeasures for the MLRS system. Sure, once they fire, they'll expose their position, and our F-16s will be on top of the launchers in minutes. Once the missiles are in the air, though... nothing much you can do about it. -

Our problem lies in an SAF that is increasingly risk-averse and running the military like some damn civilian institution.
I agree that our physical fitness program definitely need a boost,and more flexibility should be given to commanders and instructors in how training is conducted.
Safety in training is all very well and good,but when it starts to bing down our standard,then there is a problem.Maybe they should make the TSR more a sort of guidelines,with a few compulsory rules to follow to prevent major injuries or accidents.
In the military,there will always be risks,and we can do our best to minimise those risks while still giving our personnel challenging training.
Personally,I find that our fighting spirit is lacking.We place too much emphasis on technology within the army.It may be a 'force multiplier',but I'd rather have a motivated,ciongsua warrior backing me up armed with an AK-47 rather than a person who is a chao keng kia equipped with sophisticated weapons as my buddy.Just to illustrate.
Perhaps we can also take a look at the USMC's book and integrate some form of martial arts program that inculcates martial values and discipline as well instead of just teaching the current close combat training they give us(Eg.BCCT,ICCT,ACCT). -

We need jam-proof guided artillery rounds/bombs/missiles deployed by artillery/mortar/air(aeroplane/heli/UAV).If we can increase the hitting rate,
much manpower ,weapons,ammo and logistics can be cut.
