!Carnival At Marina!

  Hi guys,
  To all you military mad fellas just like me out there...its worth the trip down to Marina for photo opportunities!haha,went there with the intention to take pictures of the fireworks.But ended up taking one whole 512MB card!Lucky brought along an additional card.
  
  One of the stations I recommend,go to the Commandos booth and try out the "killhouse" you will get to don body armour,shooting glasses and ear muffs before being issued a H&K MP5A5 loaded with 20rounds of Simunitions paint rounds. the killhouse consists of 4 rooms with 1-3 targets in each room.Starting from the 1st room,the moment you burst in,two targets pop up and you will pop them.then on to the next room,another 1 target and so on.
  
  The feeling was exhilirating,fired double taps and in automatic.haha,damn FUN!!!You guys should go try it.

  Either Chinatown (Sv 400) or Marina Bay (Sv 400A)...
  
  Frequency: 400: 5-7 mins
  Sv 400A: No frequency, bus just moves 1 aft 1

  see details fr http://www.ndp.org.sg/ for programmes and time.
  u can take a ride in utility boat then board LST and take a tour there,
  incl the bridge
  
  lady, aunties , no skirt ,pl.
  
  Bring along recyle plastic bag to wear as poncho when u take a ride
  in light strike vehicles.try do take this as last for u may get muddy and wet.
  u are warned and wait for long time.bring a spare shirt.

  Saw an AMX-10 displayed. Had no knowledge SG had it. Is it just myself is ignorant or the Army has kept it a secret?
  
  AMX-10 is a nice tank. Always thought why SG is still relying on the antiquated AMX-13 for tank duties (apart from the M-60s based in Thailand). It has a 90mm gun and can take on an additional 4 infantrymen as a dual role tank/APC.

  Actually - the AMX10 was already on public display years ago (4-5 years?).
  
  I was more surprised that we have mobile washing machines, mobile bath facilities, and a mobile kitchen. Never seen these before. Must be for division level people.

  Was no secret, just that not nice to let so many people know, especially our neighbours.

  Never knew there was such a thing called the mobile air control tower untill the aceh missions.

  Over at the Guards tent, they have this very cool surveilance ball. Its an orange-sized rubber coated ball with wireless revolving camera within. The soldier rolls it into a room, it will right itself up and sends back video to a monitor further away. Like in the movies.
  
  Very nice gadget for peeping toms to have!

  I was at Yishun today. They had exhibits too.
  
  What! They had WW2 era weapons too! There was a Temasek Green-clad mannequin carrying a Sten. There were Brens and No 4. Rifles too.
  
  The Ultimax and other firearms were on display too. It has a nice cocking mechanism!
