Singapore won't be so stupid to spend 40 years building up an army that was meant to fail in the event of an invasion.
i won't say which country will win , but i would say both will lose.
Even if Malaysia takes over Singapore , our ally from the middle east will also bring us some silver bullets.
Don't think we will lose just like that. -
If Ever M'sia and Indonesia invades SG.
Those chinese posters in forum.cari.my will also be killed together with chinese singaporeans.

M'sia and SG i believe will never fight.
If fight , we will have to be dependent on our own water supply for 6 months and NEWater.
I rather drink NEWater then to succumb under their forces and become a 2nd class citizen.
I rather fight for the equality and survival so that everyone will become equal instead of a particular race being more special then the others. -

They dun have both quantity as well as quality as compare to us, in SEA Vietnam and Thailand has one of the strongest armies in term of asset.
Indonesia also has a vey large army but asset wise is still lost to us in both qty and quality.
Vietnam has large qty of land asset but of poor quality, likewise for Thailand but quality wise is better than Vietnam.
As for AF, no one in SEA is better RSAF, that is our trump card, becos in today modern warfare, AF is the most impt factor in any conflict. -
i suggest you stop underestimating their capabilities. In any case, my stance is that i don't regard malaysia as an enemy and never will. All these comparisons between the SG's military forces and MY military forces is totally childish and uncalled for. If you want to discuss abt the developments within the countries itself, I have nothing to say. It is a matter of fact!!!!
Just check the orbat of MY , SG, Indon, Thailand which is btw could be found all over the web!!!!
As for MY whether she is our enemy or not in the future, nobody will know what will happen anyway, becos today friend could be tomorrow enemy, just like Iraq and Kuwait, Kuwait supported the Iraqi against Iran and later Iraqi invaded Kuwait!!!
Anway, there is no instigation of war here or even claiming MY will be our enemy, just a simple discussion.
And as for looking at the orbat of various countries, it is certainly not childish, how could one do strategic study w/o looking at the orbat etc????
For example Tim Huxley and all researchers in ISS and IDSS etc all childish???

which currently states....A forum to discuss all military related issues

maturity too is a matter of opinion, a reflection of the relative and different experience of individuals.

a forum functions as a place to exchange opinions and informations, moderation is to ensure that such exchange is not impeded by runaway emotions and hot heads.

Military decision like purchase of new equipment, structure etc are usually relative to the development of the "other" sides.
For example USN leased of a AIP SSK to hone their ASW skills due to PRC expanding sub force in Pacific.
The other day someone ask why we could not follow the OZ with just one active Div etc.
Simply becos of the strategic difference between us and them.
All military orgn will look at what the other sides have( i.e. orbat, and not neccessary just one side) , to do wargamings and simulations etc which are done all the time in all military orgn, which will later prompt new development, purchases etc to counter them.
Thus it is inevitable that comparsion will be done fo any meaningful discussion.
For example , why are we using a SM1 for some many years??
Simply becos our neighbours from the north dun have any meaningful tank force even now.
Why we dun have any Anti Ballistics Missile ( ABM) defence?
Becos our neighbours dun have any ballistics missile !!!!
