RSAF helicopters?

  i was travelling along sengkang when I saw 9 low-flying helios flying in formation. Anyone saw that too? Along Sengkang, Hougang and maybe serangoon. About 3.30pm. Guess it's super pumas, didn't really see them clearly, might be UH1H also. Any idea what are they doing? don't think it's part of NDP flypast. Anyway, they looked majestic and almighty flying in formation with floodlights on.

  i saw a couple of chinook practising the NDP flag parade above sentosa...
  so proud...all the ang mohs were so fasinated haha

  If I am not wrong... it's the last flight of the UH-1H of Singapore....
  
  It's retirement day for them... they have served us well.... and also the americians in WWII when they were initially used here.

  Yup. That was the flypast to mark the end of the service for our UH1H. Not sure whats gonna happen to them.

  just now i saw it from my hse...from far away, i thought its a bunch of birds...but after a while, got the rotor sound...den on closer look, realise its helicopters

  Sighz...the UH-1 series of helicopters are such a good work horse...yet have to be retired.Btw...will RSAF sell to Phillipines or give them?Also...read from somewhere nearing the end of the Vietnam war,there were so many Hueys in surplus the US Govt. even offered them off at USD$1 per chopper...wonder if its true.

  they are not SPs but they are HUEYs the oldest helis of RSAF

  helicopters have not entered service in WWII.... I believe you were referring to the Vietnam War instead

  The UH1H has served well. My first helicopter ride was in a UH1H (it was also my first rappelling experience).
  
  So what is confirmed to replace the UH1H? The blackhawk series?

  You are wrong ,Flettner LF282 Kolibri was used during the 2nd world war , which is powered by a 140 hp. Siemens-Halshe Engine.

  2.I am happy to know /read news of SAF.Pl think if the posting will put SAF
  in dangerous positions.You put the movements of SAF,eg Army convoy,fleets of navyor routes of RSAF planes here.What if they are not going to ex,but they are going for real actions---to attack or defense!?Your posting here may be faster than spy's reports here.
  
  Nobody know their real operations.I am doubt only few would know until
  the last moment in order to protect the operations.
  
  Pl post your findings of any SAF movement here at least 24 hours later.
  You may save a lot of lives of SAF,may be your ferns or relatives.Who knows.I may be over cautious.But it pays.
